We are busy this week making our Reindeer Jars. We are doing a little group at a time. We will put the reindeer food in at the end of the week.
The Hairdressers is Open!
The hairdressers is this weeks role play. It has generated a lot of discussion and is all about sharing and taking turns. We have been busy shampooing and putting our rollers in. We all have very clean hair, thankfully! If the hairdresser is busy, we have to wait in the queue and read a magazine. Such fun!
Reindeer jars
Now that the lids have been painted, we had to match the correct lid to the correct jar by comparing sizes. The children were able to do this very quickly !
Gym Time
At gym today, we did different activities. Some were quite tricky and we had to concentrate. For some, we had to work as a team. It was a lot of fun. We did our warm up first , then a cool down at the end.
Never A Dull Moment
We have so much to do in P1.3 . We learn by working with our teachers and by playing at the different activities in our class. We are very good at sharing and taking turns. We know our routines. Everything runs smoothly.
Reindeer Jars
A special thank you to everyone who handed in jars to be used for our Christmas Fayre craft. Every child now has one so we can begin making our reindeer jars. We are looking forward to selling them at the school Christmas Fayre on Saturday, 1st December. The Fayre is open from 12pm till 3pm.
Cinema Trip
We all set off on the bus to see “Paddington 2” in Kilmarnock. We were so excited. We arrived, got our seats and munched our snacks. Then……. we had to move cinema screen as the film wouldn’t work. So, we all packed up and headed to the next screen and watched “ The Grinch” . It was very good.
A Visit from Adrienne
Adrienne visited us today. She is a minister at Mearns Baptist Church. She is very kind. She told us all about looking after babies and how we can be thankful for babies and how they are welcomed into church at their Christening.
Symmetry
We were learning all about symmetry. We had to make symmetrical pictures using our loose parts and we went for a walk around the school to see what was symmetrical. It was quite tricky, but we soon became experts.
So much to do, so little time!
It is always busy in 1.3. The children asked for new activities last week and we have done our best to provide them. We also have different activities to reinforce our learning. It is always a work in progress.
