We like seeing teamwork in P1.3. It happens a lot and it happens naturally. The children love making suggestions and giving each other ideas. There is lots of great discussion. We have been using the magnetic shapes and the marble run.

Nativity costumes
We hope everyone is succeeding in finding costumes for our Nativity in two weeks. This can be any animal from a nativity scene. Some parents have kindly shared where they have found their costumes so if you need any suggestions we are happy to help. 👍
Can’t Stop- Bubbletime!
We had to discover which materials made the best bubble blowers in science. We tested different items made from metal, wood, plastic and cardboard. The cardboard was thick, but went soggy . The metal was good, but the holes were too small. The wood didn’t work well at all. The plastic bottles were the best. The wider the base the better. It was a huge amount of fun.
St Andrew’s Day
We looked at different tartans on St Andrews Day. There are so many. We looked at the story of clans and why they were formed. We designed our own tartans using paint and cars. We also made our Scotland flags.
New Activities
We have some new activities in the class this week. They have provoked a great deal of discussion and role play, not to mention the huge amount of joy and learning they bring.
Christmas Fayre
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Christmas Fayre. The school was full to capacity with people and their was a real buzz.
We still have some of reindeer food for sale. At a £1 a jar, it is a bargain! ( And those reindeer need to be fed!)
