Microscopy Workshop

Today we attended our first STEM workshop delivered by our lab technicians, Katie and Sam in P7.26

They told us about microscopy, the technique of using microscopes to view tiny objects or detail that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

First we took part in a quiz to predict what the below images, photographed under a microscope are:

Next we used the veho microscopes to look at a variety of objects.

We learned that scientists use microscopy to study the structure of materials, detail of living things and microorganisms.
