Welcome to the 3.11 BLOG!

We had a lot of fun building up our teamwork skills during P.E. time. We had to share information and collaborate in groups and pairs to effectively solve problems and be successful.

We have been learning about the Scottish bacteriologist Sir Alexander Fleming (1881-1955) and his discovery of Penicillin from mould in 1928. This led to the development of the world’s first antibiotic substance. He won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1945. Inspired by this, we have decided to create our own scientific experiment to investigate if we can successfully grow mould from different food types such as; oranges, bread and lemons.
