Welcome to the 3.11 BLOG!

The children have been working with Miss Laing (student teacher) to develop their ball control skills and work in collaborative partnerships and groups. They are growing in confidence and skill in gross/fine motor control of moving objects and spatial awareness in their environment.

As part of our continuing commitment to keeping Mearns Primary clean, we decided to do a survey of litter still being dropped during break times. We then used the data we collected to create bar chart graphs and analysed this through discussion and questioning. This has allowed us to monitor the progress and success of our campaign so far and inform our future strategies.

Star of the week is Erin McDonald and group of the week is ‘Famous Six’ (Hussein, Riyad, Alexander, Hannah and Max), well done everyone!!

We were asked to create handprints on which we could write and illustrate the people, places and activities that we value the most. These would then be used to decorate a tree growing across a curriculum room being used by learners across the school.

The ‘Star of the week’ is Lydia and ‘Group of the Week’ is Bat Children (Hannah, Sophie, Riyad and Rachel) excellent work guys!!
