Welcome to the 3.11 BLOG!

Star of the week is Isabella and group of the week are X-Men (Olivia, Harry, Lydia, Dylan, Blake and Riyad). Well done to you all for excellent effort in class and across the school!!

We thought we would mark the change of seasons by creating our own Winter landscapes using paper strips and shapes to outline our trees. After this, we mixed primary colours to create our secondary colour paint palettes and applied our paint using a variety of brush techniques and effects.

We would like to wish both girls lots of luck and adventures in their new schools and hope they keep in touch with their friends at Mearns Primary, especially P3.11.

We have waited patiently, observed and recorded the results of our class experiment on growing Penicillin mould from food materials. It was fascinating to watch and discuss the influence that moisture, control of temperature and environment had on the success of growing the mould. We concluded that we had been successful in growing the Penicillin culture amongst others and that exposure to moisture accelerated growth significantly.
