Welcome to the 3.11 BLOG!

Miss Laing (our student teacher in P3.11) has now finished her placement with us. We would like to wish her lots of luck and future success in her teaching career.

It is fun to develop and explore new skills through creative activities. We challenged ourselves to thread and stitch Christmas stockings and use pieces of felt to make the characters. We also made scratch art pictures too.

During our recent Science topic of magnetism we planned and designed our own magnetic games. Working in collaborative groups, we chose the curriculum areas of maths or language to test and challenge our knowledge. Then we agreed the imaginative context that our games would be set in. Next, we were able to use a variety of materials to make models and game pieces and carefully write the instructions of the game for players to follow. It was lots of fun to share and assess our peer groups work by testing the games ourselves and giving meaningful feedback from our design criteria.

A big thank you from the class to Alexander and his mum for making and sending in these yummy cupcakes to have as a treat. What a kind and thoughtful thing to do for your classmates!

P3.11 decided to make candy snowmen for our school Christmas fayre craft this year. We had super fun creating and packaging our product to sell and hope we have made a good contribution to raising funds for the school.
