Lydia created her own book to bring in to show the class today. I was so impressed with the wonderful sentences and great pictures. It entertained the whole class and she has kindly donated a signed copy to the library. We might have the next J.K. Rowling here in Mearns!

After lots of creative ideas 2.6 have started their business. We are Rainbow Rudolf and here is a first draft of the logo created and voted for by the children. We learnt that logos are simple and have something to do with the name of the company or what they are selling.

This week we created posters to tell people about the Christmas Fayre. They were bright, colourful, and gave all the information needed to attend. The Star Writers/ Poster makers this week are Max Cleland, Ryan Stainton, Shreya Manju (picture to follow) and Olivia Muir.

After a wonderful assembly (I hope all those who attended were very proud and enjoyed the children sharing what they’ve learned) Lydia Watson was named Star Pupil. Congratulations Lydia!

Isaac bought in a fantastic little house to show us how solar panels work. It collects light to turn the lights on in the house This led to a great discussion on renewable energy and I was delighted to hear there are so many people taking advantage of solar panels on their homes!
