We had lots of fun problem solving and designing our castles. Children used tools to cut and make holes for the crenellations, arrow slits and anything else they’d planned.

The specification was:

• Build a castle
• Include a drawbridge
• Include a portcullis
• Include turrets

There was also a challenge to make a moving part.

As you can see there were lots of great ideas and solutions to engineering problems.
