Welcome to the 3.11 BLOG!

It was extremely exciting to have our first experience of the new school VR headsets. We were completely absorbed in our journey through Space and under the sea. We thought the view was so realistic we sometimes forgot we could not reach out and touch the sharks! This superb new school resource certainly got the thumbs up from 3.11.

We loved taking part in the P7 led workshop on plastic pollution of the environment. It really made us think of how this issue has become a major concern and is urgently needing action from everyone. The presentation explained the extent of the damage and the impact plastic waste is having on sea life and our environment. Each station of the workshop encouraged us to interact with the materials themselves and consider what kinds of plastic we use everyday.

We really enjoyed listening to the officers from the SPCA talking to us about caring for our pets and other animals. They gave us interesting and important information on how to maintain and improve their health and wellbeing. We love our pets in 3.11 and had a super class discussion about this topic after the presentation.

We used ipads and search engines to find quality research information and data from the internet on the Solar System. This gave us a knowledgeable start to our current Science topic of Space.

We thought we would spoil our hard-working mummies with a few treats!
