May The Force Be With You

In Science, we were looking at the force that was needed to make cars move on different surfaces.  We came to the conclusion that the slippier the surface, the less force was needed.  Less force was also needed, the higher the ramp.

Coding

We have teamed up with 7.25 to learn all about using Scratch Junior in ICT.   Coding teaches us how to make computer programs.   In todays first session, they introduced us to the tools we can use and what our “sprites” can do.  It was great fun  and we learned some new skills.   We will see them again soon.

Solo Talks

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the children in preparing their solo talks.  The children were very nervous; very excited and very impressive.  They were immensely proud of themselves when they got a round of applause from  the entire class ( and me) .   The standard  was very high and amazing , considering they had never done anything like it before.

Apologies if I missed taking anyone’s photo! I was busy concentrating on listening to the children and trying to write notes .
