Making A Wormery

As part of our on- going science project on living creatures, we have made a class wormery.  We will only have it in class for a short time as the worms need to go back to their natural habitat.

Looking for soil and worms. We tried last week, but it was too dry.

The final product! Add worms and leaves on top. We keep them covered with black paper and have a little peep to see what they are up to.

We all learn maths in different ways.  Some days we use our jotters; some days we use our Smartboard; some days we have to do practical things and some days we scratch our heads and ask for further explanation!  (This is encouraged!)

Zoo Lab Visit

We were very lucky to have Zoo Lab visit us.  We got to hold a lot of the creatures.

Going On A Bug Hunt

We have been looking at living things in science and went on a bug hunt.  We took the petri dishes with us to take our bugs back into class and looked at them under a microscope.   They looked amazing.  We released our bugs back in to the Eco Garden.

It was like going to Narnia as we headed into the wood through the overgrown hedge!
