We braved the rain and completed our daily mile today doing a variety of movements from slow motion to dinosaur walks to sideways to swimming.
We also did some step up balloon dancing in class. πΆπ£π

Thank you so much to Jonathan’s mum for coming in and telling us all about her work.
We were all amazed to hear the number of customers and hear about all the numbers she deals with every day.
She spoke to us about saving money and we learned why that’s a really good idea.
We also learned all about why she works there and how much she enjoys her job. It certainly made us all think about how she uses numbers every day and how important it is to learn about maths
.
We were really lucky to have Ollie’s mum with us today to tell us all about how she uses maths, especially graphs, every day in her work. She showed us some graphs and then we all worked together to make graphs about how we got to school today and the colour of our eyes.
We can’t wait to learn more about graphs soon.
Thank you so much for visiting us.
Look at our proud footballers. The boys visited Hamilton Academical Football Club on Sunday and loved playing a tournament on the pitch, despite the rain!
What a marvellous time we had this afternoon talking about our homework! A huge thanks to all 2.8’s family members who helped bring maths to life for our class.
We heard about grampas on shape hunts, mums and dads on apple counts and grans emptying their purses to be sorted and counted!
Keep it up – let’s pretend it’s Maths Week every week! π
