Ms Hunter was so delighted today when she visited our class and saw what marvellous learning goes on in 2.8.
We are continuing to learn about climate zones and how different living things survive in different places.

Fortunately we had some lovely weather this week and that meant we could get outside and learn more about orienteering. We played some games and had a competition to learn how to spot symbols and meanings using a key.
Thank you so much to Jonathan’s mum for coming in and telling us all about her work.
We were all amazed to hear the number of customers and hear about all the numbers she deals with every day.
She spoke to us about saving money and we learned why that’s a really good idea.
We also learned all about why she works there and how much she enjoys her job. It certainly made us all think about how she uses numbers every day and how important it is to learn about maths
.
Here are some examples of homework layout – it would be great if you could encourage children to use space in their jotters carefully. 🙂 Mrs Kelly
Aila’s mum visited us this week to tell us all about how she uses maths in her job as an accountant. She spoke about sorting out money for companies and how she uses spreadsheets to help her make calculations. We are very grateful to her for visiting. Thank you 🙂
