In our Tuff tray this week we have a building challenge based on the story of the Three Little Pigs. We have a selection of materials and we are working to create a selection of houses for the pigs to hide in.
So far we have tried using wood and bricks, the next challenge is to create a house out of straws.
I wonder what next weeks challenge will be?
This morning we were learning the story of Jonah and the Whale. This is the last Old Testament story that we will be learning about, next week we will be moving on to the New Testament.
This week our Bible focus was on the story of Moses. Adrienne pulled clues out of her mystery box and we had to guess what the story was going to be. Then we had the chance to watch a cartoon clip telling the story before working together to sequence the events of the story. Finally we had the chance to ask Adrienne lots of questions.
We are excited to find out what next weeks story will be!
Today we took the chance to take our learning of maths into the outdoors. We were making pictograms in the classroom using concrete materials when the children suggested using themselves to make a pictogram so outside we went……
Our pictogram showed which animal was our favourite, cats were the clear winner! Then we used the chalk to create our own pictograms in the playground.
Once we had finished we took the opportunity to draw some of the 2D shapes that we have been learning about.
We are looking forward to learning more of our maths in the outdoors over the next few weeks.
