We’ve been learning all about how trees change through the seasons and today we were outside collecting some leaves that have turned brown, orange, yellow and red to complete our display in class.

Chaplaincy Team visit
We were really fortunate to have David from the Baptist Church visiting us today and talking with us about Harvest.
We thought about lots of different kinds of food, about potatoes and their eyes, sweet corn and their ears, cabbage and their hearts and bananas and their hands.
We all thought about how important all these things are for us and realised we were very lucky to have eyes, ears and hands to play, to help other people, to share and to give and to love.
Thank you for visiting with us David and for encouraging us all to say Thank you for everything we have and for all the lovely people in our lives.
Maths Week – Homework
What a marvellous time we had this afternoon talking about our homework! A huge thanks to all 2.8’s family members who helped bring maths to life for our class.
We heard about grampas on shape hunts, mums and dads on apple counts and grans emptying their purses to be sorted and counted!
Keep it up – let’s pretend it’s Maths Week every week! 🙂
maths week – shape monsters
We made these wonderful shape monsters today using squares, rectangles, circles, triangles and semi-circles. Mrs Kelly gave us a list of items our monster had to have and we used hole punches and scissors, rulers and plastic shapes to make these fabulous monsters.
Later we described our monsters in our jotters.
Maths week – outdoors
We have been outside this week using sticks and stones to help with our understanding of numbers. We used sticks for tens and stones for units and it helped us add some big numbers together !
