We had so much fun at the party. We were all dressed up and good to go. We wore the crowns that we had made a few weeks ago. We played lots of games and danced to the music. Then it was time to go for crisps and drinks and Santa came in to see us. We were very excited. Santa left us presents too. Thank you, Santa!

iPad Unleashed!
As part of our technology , we used the iPad to take photos. The children were free to choose their subjects. Some took ” action shots”, some chose to pose the Potato Heads and some had difficulty finding the “click” button! The children were fascinated!
Class Quotes
There are times when we overhear the children at play and it really makes it us smile. Here are a few of the best:
At ICT to the person beside: ” Are you having fun? Cause I’m having fun!”
Looking at a new car mat with a village and cars : “What the Dickens?????”
” But you NEED to be good! ( Quietly) The elf is watching! ”
“Want me to read you a story? ” Two children then snuggled up on the throne and one read to the other.
Minister Visit
Adrienne came to visit us to tell us the Christmas Story. We all listened very carefully and were able to answer her questions.
Mystery Christmas Reader
We were so lucky to have a special Christmas Mystery Reader in 1.4 today. He wore a special red suit and took time out from his busy schedule. He read us ” Careful, Santa” by Julie Sykes and Tim Warnes and “Aliens Love Panta Claus” by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort. Thank you, Santa!
Ho! Ho! Ho!
We had a lot of fun today being Santa. We made his beard and promised to be good boys and girls. 11 sleeps to go! 🎅🏻😁
Santa’s Little Helpers
We all know that Santa is busy at this time of year, so we have set up a trainee elf workshop. We have the wood shop, hammering away and we are practising to wrap presents. We have been super careful using tools. Elf and Safety always comes first. 😁 ( No elves were hurt in this scenario! )
Gingerbread Designs
We were making gingerbread designs this afternoon. We had to choose a pattern using the sequins and buttons. We had very sticky hands!
Play is a great way to learn!
As ever in 1.4, never a day goes by without us learning through play. We always ask the children what they would like in the class and we try our best to provide it in class. Here are some of the activities they asked for this week.

Thank you to everyone who took time out to come along to our Christmas Fayre. Lots of our decorations were sold, but we still have some left. If you were unable to come along, you can still buy them. A bargain at £2!
