We tested different materials to see which would be the best to keep us warm.  We used warm and cold water in vials and different materials to wrap them up in. We tested them for heat with the thermochromic  paper.  If it went blue, it was too cold. It it turned red or orange it was warm.  We then  held the paper to see if we were warm or cold.  Some people had cold “blue” noses!
