Easter Extravaganza

Today Dave and Adrienne welcomed all Primary 1 and 2 pupils, friends and family to Mearns Parish Church for our Easter service. Well done to Donald, Heather, Sam and Anna for reading so well, along with the other Primary 1 and 2 pupils. After a short break, we took part in our Easter parade and egg hunt. A huge well done to all the boys and girls for their efforts put into creating such fantastic bonnets!

Look at us go!

Congratulations to Gregor who won the competition!

Solo Talks

A huge well done to all the boys and girls who presented their very first solo talk to an audience. The choice of words, use of props and fluency was incredible! Some children were nervous, others excited but they were all very proud of themselves when they heard the round of applause from the class. Thank you to everyone who supported the children in preparing their talks.

P6.22 read to P1.3

Children from P6.22 came to read us stories they wrote on World Book Day.

‘The Magical Pet Shop’ by Guneev & Tara

‘Pat’s Numbers’ by Freya & Eilidh

‘The Cat with the Ice Cream Hat’ by Freya & Eilidh

‘I Found a Tie’ by Isaac and Rory

‘The Friendly Robot’ by Harry and Steven

‘Eric’s Adventure’ by David and Adam

‘Where is Mr Pineapple?’ by Rhona, Emily and Eilidh

It was fun listening to the authors tell their stories. We can’t wait to write our own stories when we grow up 🙂
