This afternoon we were using our phonics to play games.

We are trying to make and read lots of words.

We think we are getting really good at our phonics!

We had a visit from Adrienne from the Baptist church.

She talked to us about the Christmas story that we find in the Bible.

Yesterday we were very excited about preforming our Little  Donkey song at our whole school Christmas assembly. We were really happy to see some of our  parents too!

We have had fun today! We’ve been Elves and helped Santa to wrap up the toys!

We’re going on a puddle hunt!

We’re going to find a big one.

We’re not scared .

We are starting a new Science topic about states of Water. We wanted to find out about puddles so we went outside to look at puddles. We found all sizes of puddles and looked at the clouds. We wondered why the clouds were dark and thought they may have lots of water in them.

Our new topic is based around the Katie Morag stories.

We have been reading and watching some of the stories and we decided to make Katie Morag out of play dough. We looked at a picture of her to work out the colours we needed.

In PE we have been working on ball skills and learning about different ball games.

Today we were trying tennis with a balloon.

We went outside and found out that 3D shapes are all around us.

We discovered that lots of cylinders were holding up our building.

We have been learning about 3D shapes.

We looked at the shape faces, sides and corners.

We had great fun playing with 3D shapes and trying to say their names. We recognised lots!

We are using our subtracting skills to find the pairs.

We found out you go backwards on a number line to subtract. G
