Today we have based our learning around Halloween.
We made halloween words and recipes for a witch stew.
We threw marshmallow ghosts into a pot. It was quite tricky!
We had fun dooking for apples. We had to get a fork into an apple. We enjoyed eating them. Yum!
We investigated inside a pumpkin. We counted the seeds and felt the pumpkin flesh. It felt gooey and slippy.
We sang and danced to the skeleton song then tried to make skeletons with straws. We also were printing spiders.
What a busy, fun morning we had!
We have been learning to recognise coins. We learned to look at the number on the coin to find out it’s value. We counted cubes to show the value of the coins. We found out that we can use our adding skills to get the right coins to buy things.
Look ! We know our double blends!
Adding with cubes and number lines.
We are investigating materials. We experimented with different materials to see which were best for blowing bubbles with.
We took our learning outdoors today. We were observing how the wind makes trees move and what happens to the leaves.
We saw the lovely autumn colours of leaves and went back into class to create detailed drawings of our observations.
Today we were cutting and sticking Mr Greedy in maths. This was part of a lesson in which we were ordering the numbers 1-20.
