Mrs O’Donnell and Mrs Nicolson would like to say a huge thank you and a very sad goodbye to Miss Murray. Miss Murray has been an amazing addition to the P2.5 family and the children have loved working with her. We will all miss her very much when she leaves on Thursday. The children will especially remember their lessons on time and forces. Good luck for the future Miss Murray – you are a star!
The Nativity
David, the minister, came into class to tell us The Nativity story. The children really enjoyed it as he used fun props and invited boys and girls to help him tell the story.
We can tell the story to the class using our Nativity scene.
Advent Calendar
We’re having a Christmas countdown on our Advent calendar. It’s fun when it’s your turn to see what’s in the pocket, funny jokes and treats everyday.
We’ve been practising our Christmas dancing too.
Reading Skills
We have now finished working on finding the main idea in our reading passages and will be moving on to sequencing next week. To help us with this we will be carrying out a practical sequencing task linked to our unseen text. We will be making Fairy Bread – and, if willing, we will eat it too! The ingredients are white bread, ‘margarine’ and various sugar strands/sprinkles. If anyone is not to eat this please let us know via the homework diary.
Enterprise
We have been working hard to plan and implement our business enterprise project. We are now in the production stages and busy making our Christmas craft to sell at the fayre. The children have a letter with information about buying their craft before the fayre.
