We had a lovely time at our picnic today. We had tasty fruit and vegetables and played on the grass. Our healthy eating topic is now coming to an end, please ask us what we have learned 🙂
Building a Dam
In preparation for our trip to the Dams, we tried building our own dam in the playground. In groups we collected materials and watched to see if the water got through and how long it took. A lovely afternoon of learning !

Ball skills
We all enjoyed trying to roll the ball to our team mates and then being able to stop it. We love the big space in the gym hall for moving and running !
NEW PHONICS HOMEWORK
The children’s phonics booklets have now been replaced with jotters. The children are required to LOOK, SAY, COVER, WRITE and CHECK their words TWICE. After this, they should choose ONE word to include in a sentence. I have attached a document below so you are able to see how this should be laid out.
Many thanks for your support 🙂

Number stories
No Maths jotters for the Squares & Rectangles today, we have chalk, beanbags and hoops! The children moved objects from hoop to hoop and wrote calculations on the ground. We focused on number stories up to 10. All did a great job!
