It is there to help people prepare for employment, training, education and\/or volunteering.<\/p>\n<p>To take part participants must not be in a job, education or training<\/p>\n<p>They will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>receive support from an Employability Key Worker, and<\/li>\n<li>work on an individual plan to help them reach their goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The agreement includes activities specifically designed to prepare participants for progression, such as time with training providers, mentoring, peer mentoring opportunities and innovative group projects.<\/p>\n<p>Participants may be eligible for help with transport to venues. An EMA payment of \u00a330 per week may be available to young people aged 16-19 years, this is a means tested allowance.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\">Charlie Brownlie, 16+ Learning Choices Advisor, can be contacted on:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tel:\u00a0 0141 577 3277<\/p>\n<p>Mobile: 07738752134<\/p>\n<p>Below is an overview of the services that Charlie can help\u00a0pupils to access:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\"><strong>Positive Pathways (PP) (Local Context)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Eligibility:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>age 16-19 (or 6 months prior to school leaving date)<\/li>\n<li>living in East Ren<\/li>\n<li>not engaged in education, training or employment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ERC Education is working in partnership with Economic Development, Young Person Services and external partners to offer Learning Agreements that will provide opportunities for young people.<\/p>\n<p>PP is stage one on the Strategic Skills Pipeline and provides tailored activities based on the young person\u2019s immediate and future skills needs. Young people are supported to progress through the pipeline by addressing and removing barriers, identifying a clear pathway towards engagement with learning, training or employment.<\/p>\n<p>Scottish Government recommends a minimum of 3 hours per week engagement and expects a young person to work on developing their Learning Agreement resulting in longer periods of participation. The success of the Learning Agreement is based on agreed milestones and may be added to throughout the period of engagement depending on emerging needs and additional barriers identified.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Summary<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Individual learning programme based on a YP immediate and future skills needs<\/li>\n<li>Supporting YP to identify a pathway towards engaging with education, training or employment<\/li>\n<li>Various activities such as barista, animal care, budgeting skills and employability workshops<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to access accredited learning such as a Community Achievement Award (in partnership with Young Person Services &amp; Glasgow Kelvin College)<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to access formal learning courses in partnership with adult learning &amp; West College Scotland such as IT, Customer Service Skills or Childcare<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity for work placements<\/li>\n<li>Supported to engage with other relevant services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No-One Left Behind &#8211; Employability Funding Stream (National Context) The No-One Left Behind Employability Funding Stream helps people of all ages to gain skills and confidence.
