The learning outside has been amazing. From painting frozen ice, to counting pennies out to buy ice-cream, to comparing shadows, to making mud hot chocolate, to playing the drums and even finding both the moon and the sun in the sky! What a fabulous day.

Nativity!
It feels like a long time ago already but here are a few photos of our Nativity. Some were taken before we started and then there are a few action shots. As you can imagine I was so focused on our fabulous performers that I didn’t get as many photos as I hoped.
We hope you enjoyed it! The children certainly did! They were brilliant.
Pirate ship…ARrrrrrrr
Following the interests of some of our learners, a fantastic pirate ship was created by a group of children. Here we are busy painting it together. It looks fab! What great team work.
PTA Christmas Tree
We have been busy creating decorations for the Christmas Tree that the PTA gifted to us. Each decoration is different as our learners have been so creative! We can’t wait to see it when it is all finished.
Our Days
It was mentioned recently that it was hard to imagine a day in Nursery from a parent / carers point of view. Our little learners come home and we ask them what they did during the day and sometimes can’t tell us very much!
Here are a few wee snapshots.
We start our day playing and then gather at 9.15 am for Group Time. This is when the children get together with their key worker and their group. It is a time of checking in, chatting, some input regarding learning with our songs and rhymes etc.
We then have free play and are able to explore the playroom and the Outdoor Playground. We visit the woods regularly and also the gym hall twice a week. In following the children’s interests we pop out and about around the school grounds if this is applicable and often visit the school tranquility garden to explore. The Transport Hub in the P1 & 2 is also a favourite.
Can you help?
We are looking for a stair gate and hoping that someone may have a spare one in their loft or garage? If you do it would be most appreciated. Thank you.
People at work!
Lots of fantastic collaboration in the block area, building lorries, castles and brick laying!
Woodland Walkers
It was cold in the woods today but we still managed a scavenger hunt and a swing in the hammock!
If you go down to the woods today……..
I Play
Some of the pre school children noted visiting Primaty 1 yesterday to participate in iplay. We had a great time learning with the Primary ones and meeting up again with some old friends.
