Some of the children had enjoyed the story of ‘This is the Bear and the Picnic Lunch’. A mind map was then made together and we decided to walk to Asda to buy the shopping. We wanted cheese sandwiches, PomBears and watermelon juice.
The children walked down and loved watching a roofer fixing a roof, waving to the Bus driver and watching the refuse collectors empty the bins. In Asda they all looked for the items on the shopping list and added them to the baskets. We even met one of our lovely mums at the checkout who helped us put our shopping through and pack away into our bags. After lunch we made some cheese sandwiches and enjoyed having another wee ‘blether’. A huge thank you to all the staff and customers at Asda for making us so welcome and a huge big thank you to Mrs Kelly for joining us.

Kung hei fat choi
Happy Lunar New Year to all our families celebrating. We had a lovely ‘noodle’ provocation outside, which the children practised their fine motor skills, using the chopsticks.

Lunar New Year
We have been talking and learning about the Lunar New Year which some of our children celebrate.
We used the ‘Dragon’ head we had made, material and ribbon and created our own Dragon Dance.
