We were delighted to have a visit from the Easter Bunny and Primary 7 yesterday. We listened to stories and then went on an Easter treasure hunt! Thank you P7 for all the fun.

Nursery Garden
Miss Macdonald has been very busy in the garden with the children. They have been busy planting and preparing our new beds donated by the school PTA.
Can you help?
- Mrs Murray is looking to make a scarecrow with the children and is looking for  lots of plastic bags. If you have a plastic bag, filled with more plastic bags and can spare some, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 💛

Nurture and Nature Family Learning Programme
We enjoyed our first visit to the woods with our families, participating in the Learning through Landscapes, Nurture and Nature Family Learning Programme . We tried out a variety of activities in the woods and even had a picnic. It was great to be able to talk to each other, hearing the children’s ideas and sharing childhood memories.
We hope to offer this regularly going forward, so watch out for emails and newsletters advising.#LTL
Mini Master Chefs
Mini Master Chef is a new East Renfrewshire incentive to encourage young people, to try new foods and produce in new ways. The children will have the opportunity to participate over this week. Today we touch and tasted vegetables, we made coleslaw, soup and cheese and carrot flapjacks.
Woodland Walkers
We had a gorgeous morning in the woods today. It was a  cold and crisp day  but the sun was shining. We chilled in the hammock, we cooked up a storm and we looked at moss and bugs under the magnifying glass. We even found a space rocket that had crash landed in the woods with moon rock aliens aboard, we then showed them around the woods and have brought them back to nursery to help repair their rocket!
World Book Day
We were very lucky today to have had a visit from P6 and Miss Anderson.  Miss Anderson is an author and has written the story of ‘Tallulahs’s Summer Holiday’. The children read the story and Miss Anderson kindly signed and gave the nursery a copy of her book to keep.

Teddy Bears Picnic
Following on from our trip to Asda yesterday, we made sandwiches and had our teddy bears picnic listening to the story ‘This is the Bear who had a Picnic Lunch’ once more.
