Jack and the Beanstalk
The children loved the story of Jack and the Beanstalk so much they decided to create their own. After a lot of planning, cutting, gathering, sticking they made a huge beanstalk. They then wrote all their names on the leaves and measured their height next to the beanstalk. There was great use of language to compare and discuss height – Â tall, taller and tallest etc
Friyay!!!
We have been building, rolling dice and identifying numbers, measuring and planting bulbs in our nursery garden.
A Wet Wednesday
We are all suited and booted and making the most of the wet weather by making water channels in the sand – great problem solving and teamwork!
Harp 🎼
Harp 🎼
Today we have been exploring the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. Some of the children had asked ‘What is a harp?’
We were incredibly lucky to be able to answers this question, by allowing the children to hear a harp and for them to be given an opportunity to play a harp  through Alexander’s Dad. A huge thank you from us all!
Hola Gruffalo
We were treated to the story of ‘The Gruffalo’ in Spanish today by Alexander’s Dad. We loved working out  which Spanish word meant owl, fox, snake and of course mouse.
