Summer Reading Challenge
Library Visit
We successfully handed in all the returned, completed library enrolment forms. If you completed a library form, please collect your childâs card from Mearns Library.  The  library are also running a Summer Reading Challenge, which  is a great way to get started! We are lucky to have the library on our doorstep and hope you all enjoy itâs many facilities.

I Play
Our preschoolers enjoyed joining the primary 1âs this week for I Play, supporting transition.

Learning in the woods today
On this sunny day, we took advantage of the shade that the woods provide and we played out there for nearly an hour this morning.
We used âtapping sticksâ to count up and backwards as well as starting with different numbers. Â We used them to count the syllables in our names.
Then we counted and collected 10 sticks each. Â We had to measure them against our arms to make sure that they were no longer than the space between our fingertips to our elbows. Â Then we created pictures with them.
We also had a number hunt and created our own number line. Â In between all that, we climbed some trees and trekked around the pitch.
