1.2 had lots of fun taking their learning of addition and subtraction outdoors today. Using loose parts helped their understanding and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done primary 1!

1.2 loved learning all about Chinese New Year today. They particularly enjoyed making their own dragons and got to write all about them 🐉.

1.2 enjoying Christmas activities before the break 🎄🎅🏽.

1.2 were very excited about the arrival of Elfie who was sent from the North Pole today 🎅🏽. The class loved the advent calendar he got for them!

1.2 loved learning all about Children in Need today. We had lots of fun designing our Pudsy Bear ears and we were very keen to show them off.

Primary 1.2 learned all about Remembrance Day today. We enjoyed doing lots of poppy themed activities. The class were also very respectful during our 1 minute silence.

1.2 loved their trip to the cinema to see Minions! They were super excited to tell me all about the film and enjoyed completing their Minion themed activity book afterwards.

1.2 have been enjoying ‘show and tell’ on a Friday afternoon. This weeks theme was Halloween which the class were very excited about 🎃. It is great to see confidence increasing each week!

Primary 1.2 have been learning all about Diwali. We learned about rangoli patterns and made our own ones using chalk in the playground. They turned out great!

1.2 enjoyed designing things beginning with their new sounds. We made ladybirds for the ‘l’ sound. For Mearns Masters we designed umbrellas for incy wincy spider and spoke about waterproof materials. This tied in nicely with our ‘u’ sound. We then tested our umbrellas in the rain to see if our designs were waterproof.
