1.2 have been enjoying ‘show and tell’ on a Friday afternoon. This weeks theme was Halloween which the class were very excited about 🎃. It is great to see confidence increasing each week!

Primary 1.2 have been learning all about Diwali. We learned about rangoli patterns and made our own ones using chalk in the playground. They turned out great!

1.2 enjoyed designing things beginning with their new sounds. We made ladybirds for the ‘l’ sound. For Mearns Masters we designed umbrellas for incy wincy spider and spoke about waterproof materials. This tied in nicely with our ‘u’ sound. We then tested our umbrellas in the rain to see if our designs were waterproof.

Primary 1.2 have been working hard on their phonics and maths over the past couple of weeks.

We enjoyed making grapes for the ‘g’ sound and practicing formation.

We had lots of fun learning about 3D shapes and doing a shape hunt around the classroom.  During play, the children decided to use 3D blocks to make buildings.
