We used lots of natural materials and clay to create our own houses for the Gruffalo.  The children really loved exploring the materials and choosing what to include in their designs. They then used their clay characters to explore their creations through play.

 

As this was our last week of our Designers Block, we will share our Showcase video with you this week which will show the final design pieces as well as the re-telling of the story which the children created. 🙂

Each class was given a different Mathematician to research for Maths Week – in 1.2 we were learning about Carl Gauss who created patterns with numbers.

We have really enjoyed making lots of patterns this week 🙂
