This week during our Mearns Masters we finished off our Gruffalo houses. We have been exploring a range of materials throughout our “Designers” block and have been learning about reusing and recycling natural materials.
The children noticed a problem within the Gruffalo story – that all the characters had a home, except the Gruffalo! We got to work planning and designing and the children loved exploring all of the materials, deciding what to use in their creations.
The children are so excited to share their learning with you all as we re-tell the story using all of their creations which they have planned, designed and created during our Mearns Masters.
Thank you so much everyone for your recycled materials, as you can see we have been very busy reusing these during our Mearns Masters learning!
We have explored a range of materials including clay this week. The children have enjoyed the design process of planning their creations, working together and then accessing the materials to bring their ideas to life!
