On Tuesday, P1 were lucky enough to welcome some special guests. Elderly residents from local sheltered housing came in to read with learners in P1.3.
Everyone enjoyed the occasion as the children could share their favourite stories with the guests.
P1 then showed their appreciation to our guests by singing a selection of nativity songs.
This week in Primary One we have been reading ‘I am Bat’ by Morag Hood. This story is one of three which we will be read by learners in each class in the build up to National Book Week Scotland.
We worked hard in our reading and writing – feel free to ask readers in P1.3 for a summary of the story!
Flying and fluttering, darting and zooming – we were lightening quick bats with our wings outstretched…
Lots of fun was had as we struck our most menacing bat pose…
We can not wait for our next book, and our next adventure!
