November so far in P2.1

Primary 2.1 have had a busy few weeks learning all about measure. We had a bean bag throwing competition and decide it was best if we used metre sticks to measure. Do you know that someone actually threw the bean bag over ten metres!

Also we have been learning about Scottish Artists and drew our own Art Deco Roses in the playground just like Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

Watch out for more Scottish Art to follow soon.

Great work, Primary 1!

I have really enjoyed reading about all the different things that you have been doing in Primary 1.    The boats that you designed and made during STEM week are fantastic and you look like you enjoyed working together.  I can see that you looked very closely at real daffodils so that you could add lots of detail to your beautiful daffodil paintings.  I am pleased to see some super teamwork and problem solving skills when making mud pies in the mud kitchen and making tents outside.  Well done for working so hard!  Keep up the great work!

STEM week

Sean and Rachel from Atkins told us a little about being engineers. They challenged us to make a boat that floats using just straws, tape and tin foil!

Mixed Stage Learning Fair trade

Roaming reporters are Jace and Aidan

In our school we are mixing in different classes to do Fair trade IDL. We are making a design on a T-Shirt template in groups. The winning group gets their design on a real T-Shirt made from Fair Trade cotton.  The winner gets decided by people in the class by vote.

This is the winning groups design.

Here they are putting it into their fair-trade cotton T-Shirt.
