Primary 2 worked really hard to prepare their own weather forecasts. They learned lots of new weather vocabulary and locations. Miss Thomson thought they were very professional!
Primary 2 had a visit from the campus cop and we talked about ‘Stranger Danger’ and she taught us all about how to stay safe!
Primary 2.1 had a Christmas reading challenge which was to read a book while drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows and bring in a picture to share on our blog.
Ramona read The Snail and the Whale and Kyle read The Day the Crayons Came Home. Kyle liked the part when “the crayon said stop but the man didn’t hear and squished the crayon.”

The boys and girls in Primary 2 were extremely enthusiastic (on a pretty chilly day) to go on a litter pick to the Orry. They actually collected a whole bin bag of litter!

Primary 2.1 have had a busy few weeks learning all about measure. We had a bean bag throwing competition and decide it was best if we used metre sticks to measure. Do you know that someone actually threw the bean bag over ten metres!
Also we have been learning about Scottish Artists and drew our own Art Deco Roses in the playground just like Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Watch out for more Scottish Art to follow soon.
As Primary 2 have been learning all about animals the children thought it would be a great idea to go on a trip to the Safari Park. They had lots of fun and enjoyed writing about it in their News Book the following day.
Primary 2.1 enjoyed working as a team to create their own spaces using the outdoor equipment.Â
