Primary 4 Poets

dscn0219We have been learning about the features of poetry.

We have been enjoying reading poems written by Roger McGough. We have been reading different poems he has written such as ‘Bully Night’ and ‘The Fight of the Year’.

We have been making up our own versions of ‘Bully Night’.

Big Me

Last week we came to school dressed as what we would like to be when we are older.

We spoke to other people in our class about the skills and qualities we would need to do that job and why we would like to do it.

In our writing we also wrote about the careers we would like and why we had chosen them.

On Friday we finished our World Book Day celebrations by having a book swap with our class.
Once we had swapped our books we had some silent reading time to enjoy our new stories.
