On Tuesday 24th November Primary One went on a school trip to Giffnock Library.
The Library had invited us to go and take part in a Bookbug Storytelling session.
As we left school we were so excited that it was raining as it meant we had to get the bus to the library! When we got there we were met by some of our mums, sisters and aunties who had come to join in the fun.
We met Carol Wilson, the Library Supervisor who gave us a tour and showed us how to take books out and how to return them. As we had been so quiet and sensible in the library she read us a story called “Jim and the Beanstalk”. It was very funny and had great pictures.
Ariana thought “it was really good because I liked hearing a new stories.”
Devorah said “the tour was the best bit because I got to see everything in the library”.
As we were about to leave Carol presented us with our very own Bookbug bags which were filled with books and other goodies. We cannot wait to read them all and choose our favourite!
We would like to thank Miss Dunn, Mrs Yedd and Mrs Phinn for coming with us and also all the parents who came along to say hello! We all hope we will go back to the library again soon!
