Primary 3 have been busy learning new and exciting things during their Science topics of ‘Food Chains’ and ‘Sun, Moon and Stars’ this term.

The children have learnt how to classify animals into groups of Herbivores, Carnivores and Omnivores through various active learning opportunities within the classroom setting.

During the ‘Sun, Moon and Stars’ topic, the children have been finding out and learning about about the different phases  of the moon over the course of a month, including: full moon, new moon, first quarter and third quarter. They were then asked to draw, name and colour the phases into their science jotters.
