On Thursday the 22nd of December primary 4, 5, 6, and 7 had a Chanukah party in the hall. We played a game which had a mars bar a hat a pair of gloves  a scarf and also a dice. We had to try and get a six on the dice and we were all in a circle if we didn’t get a six we had to pass the dice around the circle if we did get a six then we had to put on the hat the pair of gloves get and try and eat as many pieces of mars bars until another person gets a six with the dice.  At the end of the games every class got to have a drink and a packet of crisps.

Mitzvah Day

On Mitzvah Day our class went to the nursery to help the staff with the nursery kids . We cleaned up all the things that the nursery have to play with. We played so many things with the children in the nursery like to play with inside, like puzzles and  mums  and dads . We also helped tidy up the leaves outside in their playground.

Scratch

Last week  P5  played Scratch.

In Scratch you programme your own  games. We put in our own  background, scratchy (character) and we put in a score  to tell us how much we scored at the end of the game. You can make your own account and you can play it at home. You can make your scratchy movie and change different colours.  You can draw your own accessories and draw your own background too.

We love Scratch so we recommend it to you and this is the website if you want to play Scratch:

Class Trip to St Caddoc’s

246P5 and P4 went on a trip to visit St Caddoc’s. we went because we wanted to see what they learn about together. We found out that they were learning about Mercy. Mercy is where you help the poor in a number of ways, for example you can give them food and water, shelter and lots more. St Caddocs  gave us an activity looking at how you can show Mercy. We were put in groups of 6 and after that we decided to have a 15 minutes break in the playground,  their playground was huge! Then it was time for us to deliver our presentation about Yom Kippur about why we forgive Hashem on Yom Kippur. Finally it was the sad part where we had to leave St Caddocs and go back to school. We all had a great time with the children at St Caddoc’s  and  wish it never ended.

Cinderella’s Art

On Friday 28th of October, the whole school watched a  pantomime  ‘Cinderella’. Our favourite  part of the pantomime was the music when they put it in to songs instead of just saying it.

On Wednesday 2nd of November we learned about  Keith  Fleming and his amazing art style.  We drew pictures of his simple but yet effective  people.

Book-tacular Trip to The Edinburgh Book Festival!

Last week, on Tuesday, P3, P5 and P7 went to The Edinburgh Book  Festival. It was book-tacular :). P3 came with us to see author and illustrator Marcia Williams, who let a few kids from different schools join into a play of the Tempest. Emmen was Miranda! The only bad thing was that the bus ride was quite long but we talked and played. We also saw The Kelpies. The book shop was brilliant and there were lots of books.
