Football Competition

On Thursday the 16th of March a team of primary 6 and primary 7 pupils participated in the cluster football competition. There were 4 schools including us however, some schools had more than one team.

We won 3, drew 1 and lost 2 and resulted in coming joint first. There were 3 pitches altogether. Sadly we lost the first game but won the next. Everyone enjoyed the competition. We would like to thank Mr Fry for helping us prepare for the competition.

Euro Quiz

On Wednesday the 8th March, a team of five pupils from Primary 6 participated in the East Renfrewshire Euro Quiz Heats. At the Euro Quiz there were 4 rounds. The first round was Geography, the second round was languages; there was a choice of Spanish, German, Italian and French questions.  We answered the French language questions. Round three was all about understanding Europe; this included questions about the European Parliament. The final round was a general knowledge round about sports, history, music, food and culture. We have been preparing for the Euro Quiz for a whole month so we were very proud to have come third place with an outstanding 44 out of 60. Well done to all the other schools who participated!

Running T-shirt Competition and Water

Last week, Primary 5 did a competition to design pictures for the T-shirts that the teachers and parents will wear at the 10km race. Some people did silhouettes and some people did drawings. Ben’s mum is seeing whose picture is going to go on the T-shirt.

2 weeks ago, we started a water topic in science. We learned that in Asia there is a desert that will eventually in 100,000 years turn into an ocean. We figured out that water can be a solid, gas and liquid. Also we did an experiment with a kettle.
