There are lots of ways you can support your child in becoming a confident reader. From singing nursery rhymes and reading bedtime stories, discussing different things you have read such as newspapers, magazines or\u00a0 books,\u00a0sharing thoughts and opinions on a variety of topics, to even reading labels in the supermarket together. Experiences like these will enable your child to feel more confident with words.<\/p>\n

Please encourage your child\u00a0write for real purposes at home such as\u00a0birthday cards or shopping lists.\u00a0But remember, not all writing needs to be done with pencil and paper!
