From singing nursery rhymes and reading bedtime stories, discussing different things you have read such as newspapers, magazines or\u00a0 books,\u00a0sharing thoughts and opinions on a variety of topics, to even reading labels in the supermarket together. Experiences like these will enable your child to feel more confident with words.<\/p>\n<p>For further ideas, suggestions or activities, click on the link\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.readwritecount.scot\/read\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please encourage your child\u00a0write for real purposes at home such as\u00a0birthday cards or shopping lists.\u00a0But remember, not all writing needs to be done with pencil and paper! Why not try chalk on the ground,\u00a0 alphabet pasta or letters cut from magazines?
