This guidance aims to help East Renfrewshire practitioners working with children and young people who find it difficult to attend school.\u00a0 It identifies the key factors that contribute to high levels of attendance and how to respond to emotionally-based absence.\u00a0 It considers whole school and community factors that impact on attendance and engagement, and advice on how to support individuals where school absence has become problematic.
