• We played some interactive Fairtrade games on the board.
• Then we did a scavenger hunt with other Fairtrade items in the science garden.

First we talked about countries.

then we went outside and drew pictures of places and things from different countries with chalk . finally we played games about countries .

• Firstly we listened to a song about the planet and how to care for the environment, followed by a video.(10 ways to take care of the environment)😍😍🌍🌍🌲🌱🌴
• Secondly we made a start to our posters about how to take care of the planet and our environment.✨🌍

Today we have been discussing what we need and what we want with things like education, medicine and lots of other things.

We also learnt about Therese’s story, she was a cocoa farmer and was earning 75p a day which is definitely not enough for food and other essentials.

Then we found out what essentials we needed and what they added up to in one week!

Today we learnt about how chocolate is made from cocoa beans; we watched an interesting video and learnt a lot.

We also designed our own fairtrade chocolate bars and coloured in our fairtrade stickers which was very fun!

• We learned how cocoa beans were grown by watching an interesting video ,and a whole power point about the topic.
• We also made our on chocolate bars.
• We also found out that there was a competition.

In todays meeting we have been finding out about lots of different continents.  We’ve made our own fact files about continents and have been researching about them to, we have researched the population, the languages and largest country in the continent and lots of other things.

Some people researched about Europe and found out that France is its largest country and that is the second largest continent.

Others researched about Antarctica and found that in winter there was only 1,500 people living there due to how cold it was.

At todays meeting we were put in to groups to discuss about some of our plans for Fairtrade.

Poster Group 

Our posters will have to include: Interesting facts about Fairtrade, A bold title and Bright colours.

Tuck Shop Group

We are thinking about things we can sell at tuck and how much money they will be. We are thinking about selling  Dairy free chocolate, Bananas and other healthy snacks.

Meter Group

We are designing our Fairtrade meter for the whole school to fill up in the lunch hall or gym hall. The rewards we are thinking about for filling up the meter are: Extra break and Movie day.

Today we have been thinking about our Fairtrade names such as: Fairtrade Titans, Fairtrade Titans, Fairtrade Tribe, Fairtrade Association, Fairtrade Power.

We have also been talking about our ideas for raising money for Fairtrade, here are some of our ideas: A tuck shop/or stall, bring in a Fairtrade snack and keep the wrapper to make in to a big Fairtrade logo, Fairtrade apple bobbing, Bake sell and give the money to Fairtrade.
