Outdoor PE

Winter Is Coming… So We All Need Outdoor PE Kits!

Every week we have two periods of PE outside.  It’s starting to get a bit chillier now, so we all need to make sure that we are nice and cosy during these sessions.   Could we ask parents and carers to check that their child has PE jackets and trousers in school?  Shorts and polo shirts are fine for indoor PE, but we need to wrap up when we go outside.

Thank you 🙂

Homework Update 04.10.19

Dear parent/carer,

We are changing the structure of our homework programme in order to compliment the active approach to learning in Primary 1.

We will be continuing to practise our letter formation every week. A new letter formation sheet will be issued on a Monday to be returned as normal on a Friday. In addition to this, we will be uploading a ‘Common Words Grid’ and a ‘Numeracy Grid’ to our class blog.  These grids will feature a choice of lots of different active learning activities for your child to complete. Please pick one activity from each grid every week. The homework task sheet will also be uploaded online to inform you of the sounds of the week and any ‘other’ homework to be completed.

We will also upload a list of sounds and common words that we have learned so far.  These lists will be updated weekly for your own reference.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
