In almost all situations the best people to support children\u2019s mental wellbeing, are those closest to them. It is important for all children to have a<strong>\u00a0key trusted adult<\/strong>. This is an adult that they are close to, who can support them, and who they feel comfortable to ask for help. For some children this may be a parent or family members, for others it may be a teacher or an adult in the community e.g. sports coach or a club organiser. Have a think about who this might be in your life, these are some examples.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Parent\/ carer\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Grandparent\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Auntie\/ Uncle<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Janitor\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Teacher\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Classroom assistant<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Club leader\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Sports coach<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Have a think about some of these questions, and if possible, ask your key trusted adult to help:<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is happening\/ has happened to you for you to feel this way?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>What there anything happening in your life right now?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>What things make you feel happy?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>What could you try doing to help? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Who are the most important people to you? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>How could these people help?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Who can you trust to speak to about this?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Let\u2019s have a look at some activities that can help us feel calm and relaxed. These can be useful to manage big feelings. Why don\u2019t you try some with your key trusted adult?
