They may develop \u201crules\u201d around what they feel they can and cannot eat, as well as things like when and where they\u2019ll eat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\"><strong>Avoidant\/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) <\/strong><\/span>is a condition characterised by the person avoiding certain foods or types of food, having restricted intake in terms of overall amount eaten, or both.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\"><strong>Binge eating disorder (BED) <\/strong><\/span>is a serious mental illness where people eat very large quantities of food without feeling like they\u2019re in control of what they\u2019re doing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\"><strong>Bulimia <\/strong><\/span>or bulimia nervosa is characterised by a cycle of eating large quantities of food (called bingeing), and then trying to compensate for that overeating by vomiting, taking laxatives or diuretics, fasting, or exercising excessively (called purging).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\"><strong>Other specified feeding or eating disorder (OSFED): <\/strong><\/span>Sometimes a person\u2019s eating behaviours don\u2019t exactly fit those expected for any of the above eating disorders.
