picture online what is it often of? Where do you post it? This can inspire you to try out a local restaurant, put a different country on your bucket list, bake a new dish or learn a new life skill.\u00a0 However, it is important to bear in mind that people only ever post about their highlights and the good times, and this doesn\u2019t necessarily translate to a picture perfect life.\u00a0 Photoshop, exaggerations, #ad and filters can make things appear different then they really are.\u00a0 Too often it is easy to see images of other peoples\u2019 lives online and compare it to our own. We might feel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/cbbc\/findoutmore\/help-me-out-loneliness?collection=lifebabble-help-me-out\">lonely<\/a>, or have a fear of missing out (FOMO), when we see pictures of our friends doing things without us. We might feel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/cbbc\/findoutmore\/help-me-out-jealousy?collection=lifebabble-help-me-out\">jealous<\/a> of people\u2019s lives; their families, homes, holidays or clothes. This can lead to us feeling under pressure to change or fit in.\u00a0 When this happens, it is important to recognise and challenge unhelpful ways of thinking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Common unhelpful thinking patterns:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not getting as many likes\/comments as you\u2019d expected and questioning your self-worth<\/li>\n<li>Seeing an image of someone else and feeling like you need to take measures to look more like them<\/li>\n<li>Thinking your life is rubbish because it does not seem as exciting as what your friends are posting online<\/li>\n<li>Saying things to someone online that you wouldn\u2019t usually, because that person isn\u2019t physically in front of you<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Social media influencers, YouTubers, and other celebrities are often paid to feature certain brands or products in their posts.
