Room on the Broom

To celebrate its 15th anniversary, Primary 1 had an afternoon dedicated to Room on the Broom.

After reading the story, the children were able to create masks of different characters, colour in different scenes from the book, collage sparkling wands, create edible broomsticks and lots, lots more.

Authors Live! :)

tracey_steven_blog1P.3 thoroughly enjoyed talking part in the BBC Authors Live event today, listening to author Tracey Corderoy bring to life her hilarious stories about Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam. They also loved being able to illustrate Slippery Sam, with a live step by step drawing session with illustrator Steven Lenton.thjvm2ktmb

Perform a Poem

Primary 4 are having lots of fun taking part in Perform a Poem performances of ‘I opened a Book’ by Michael Rosen.

‘Make your poems sing, whisper, shout and float. Let the words make the rhythm and give the viewers a buzz to see you.’ Michael Rosen

Thank you!

A huge thank you to our Parent Council who donated funds in order to purchase brand new reading books for every stage throughout the whole school. The children are so excited and can’t wait to get reading!
