Talking and listening was the theme of session 3. We talked about different types of questions to ask our children and explored ways in which we could use more open ended questions to promote talk.

Ronnie, Sam and Jack made magic envelopes about their favourite things with their families. These encourage talk by asking ‘open’ and ‘closed’ questions to find out what is inside the magic envelope.

The children came up with super ideas including dinosaurs, cars and their favourite TV programmes.

They took more home to make, so we are looking forward to hearing more of their interesting ideas next week.
